The Deaf Colorado website is structured around a community calendar that other local deaf organizations may contribute to via Google calendar. It aims to be a central source of information for the local deaf community.
The deaf visitors to the website come to find out what events, what news, and which open-captioned movies. And while there, also see the deaf-related resources and opportunities available to them.
Hearing visitors come to find information about learning ASL (American Sign Language) and resources for businesses to become more deaf-friendly and inclusive.
Between Tabby’s web design & SEO magic and Julie (ASL with Julie)’s community work for increased awareness, the website soon got all kinds of hits.
We’re excited that in less than a year, the website was contacted with an invitation to be on local TV news! More about that on DeafColorado.org/on-tv.
