*We’re gonna be honest. You won’t be able to host an “unlimited” number of websites.
Let’s say you have the SmartVPS plan (15gb storage). If each website takes up 2gb of
space, you can host up to 7 websites with a leftover 1gb for an emailbox. In other
words, the hosting space is limited to the hosting plan’s storage size.
If you are looking for something more exacting, we offer a very wide range of plans including some of the more obscure ones. If you’re confused or if you don’t see what you’re looking for or need, please contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions
SSL?
Yes, we have free “Let’s Encrypt” SSL available. You can easily activate it on your own or we can set it up for you upon request at no cost.
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates are what add an “s” to “https://” and makes your website secure by encrypting the communication between your website visitors and the website/server. If your website doesn’t have SSL, it may get lower rankings on search engines and be marked as insecure by web browsers. SSL is increasingly becoming mandatory.
WordPress?
Definitely. WordPress is our specialty!
If you’re a DIYer, you can certainly set up WordPress yourself.
If you’re new to WordPress or just don’t want the trouble of setting it up, we can install WordPress for you at a small fee. Let us know.
Website Backup?
But of course!
If you’re a DIYer, you will be responsible for installing and managing a backup plugin. Depending on the plugin you choose, you can schedule backups to happen regularly, like every 3 days or once a week.
If we are the one taking care of your website, you can rest assured that we will ensure your website always has at least a backup.
Which plan should I choose? I’m so confused, help!
Choosing the right web hosting plan can indeed be a bit daunting!
Many factors come into play when making this decision. For example, how many posts and pages do you plan to have on your website? Will there be a lot of images and videos? Are you going to use email extensively? And so on. These are all important considerations.
As a starting point, we recommend the Economy plan. Based on our experience, most of our clients’ websites use between 3gb and 6gb of space. The Economy plan, with its 10gb of space, is spot on.
If your website ends up needing more space, don’t worry. Just get in touch with us, and we can discuss options, which may include upgrading your website to the next plan with more space and resources for your website.
What is “Shared Web Hosting”?
It refers to a type of hosting service where multiple websites are hosted on the same powerful server and share its resources. With shared hosting:
- Many different website owners “rent” space on this server.
- These websites share the server’s resources such as processing power, memory, storage space, and traffic.
- Shared hosting is typically the most cost-effective option for many website owners because the expenses are divided.
Don’t worry, if your website has a sudden surge in bandwidth or space, we’ll discuss upgrading your website to another plan which will move your site to a server with upgraded resources.
Email?
Emails, or rather, emailboxes, are included with all plans. In fact, you can decide how many emailboxes to create or how big or small each of them should be. As long as they total no more than the hosting plan’s space/storage size.
Servers’ Location?
Our web hosting servers are located in good ol’ USA, near Boston, Massachusetts.
The servers are inside a building that has two floors and is 168,000 square feet in area. It has powerful generators that keeps the websites’ uptimes at 99%.
What is “SSD”?
SSDs and HDDs are two types of computer storage drives. HDD (sometimes HD) stands for hard disk drive, and SSD stands for solid-state drive. These drives are essential for storing your computer’s operating system and files.
HDDs have spinning disks and moving parts. Slower to start up and shut down, and data transfers take more time. Less expensive.
SSDs have no moving parts. Starts up and shuts down quickly, and data transfers are faster. More expensive.
Websites generally perform better when hosted on servers with SSDs because of their speed and reliability. If you choose Deaf Blue Cats’ hosting service, your website will be on servers equipped with high-quality SSDs for optimal performance!
