This was a fun project! Our client was a mechanic with a paws-sion for repairing old cars, and we were excited to create a business card that truly reflects his style.
The project began with an old black-and-white business card that showed a simple image of a classic car. After extensive research, we dug up several images of the client’s absolute favorite—the 1938 Ford pickup truck. We even found a vintage advertisement book showcasing this truck! In the end, we opted for one of the images and paired it with a font that beautifully matched the typography from the book.
Isn’t it a paw-sitively delightful process to start with high-quality images instead of grabbing the first one you find on the internet? The typography has never looked better!
We produced a dazzling array of card designs. Once we shared them with the client and his family, he settled on one design that really hit the mark. It went off to the printer with just a touch of raised gloss for the white sections of the mountains, resulting in a simply elegant finish. I suggested a flat gloss coat for the front of the card, so if grease or any dirt touches it, it can be wiped clean. The client was very impressed by this purr-actical touch! The back of the card was kept matte, making it easy to jot down appointment notes or any other important reminders.
Creating this business card was a true cat-venture in design! We love helping our clients put their best paw forward with unique and eye-catching designs that reflect their passions. If you’re looking to create something special for your business, let me know!
